| The preschool program departs from the
traditional self-contained classroom environment and allows students to
rotate between teachers and classrooms. The students study Spanish, art, music,
dance and stories-science (which emphasizes reading and math skills).
Each student has a homeroom teacher that he or she begins the day with and
returns to after the class rotations are completed.
A student teacher ratio of 12 to 1 is maintained in the program. This helps to ensure that individual attention can be devoted to each student to maximize his or her learning experience. Another unique feature of Miss Helen's preschool program is the Rainbow Dreamers Pod which provides an advanced curriculum designed to help students transition from preschool to kindergarten. |
